Christmas party 2023 – group booking terms and conditions.
To secure a booking, a non-refundable deposit of £10 per person is required within 14 days of making a provisional booking. The deposit must be paid by a single debit card or credit card payment.
If we do not receive the deposit payment within 14 days, we reserve the right to release the spaces and cancel your booking.
Full payment is required four weeks prior to your event and no further changes will be permitted. If we do not receive full payment, the spaces will be released and the booking cancelled.
Christmas party groups must have one single point of contact, (“the organiser”), and it is this established person who will be the main point of contact for the booking including for details, amendments, payments and for any other matters connected with the booking.
Prices are advertised inclusive of VAT and correct at the time of going to print. An adjustment for any change in VAT will be made in the final balance payment for your booking.
For any bookings made after 1 November 2023 full payment must be made at the time of booking. In the event of cancellation by the client, any deposits and payments are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Bookings are subject to availability. We cannot guarantee seating plans at shared parties. We reserve the right to split larger groups across multiple tables and allocate smaller groups to join others where necessary.
Promotional drinks pre-orders offered in advance are subject to availability. Purchase of promotional drinks pre-orders must be made at the time of final payment by the organiser. The University of Hull reserves the right to change or withdraw promotional drinks pre-order packages.
Only food and drink purchased at the venue may be consumed on the premises. Bag checks will be in place at the venue reception. Persons found to be breaking this condition of entry will be asked to leave.
Menu choices and any special dietary requirements for your group are due four weeks prior to your event. We will do our utmost to cater for dietary requirements and allergies. Only special dietary requirements will be catered for and must be pre-ordered four weeks prior to your event. Subject to market conditions and supply availability, we reserve the right to vary the menu if necessary.
Our food is produced in a central production kitchen where nuts, dairy products and other food substances are used. The University of Hull cannot guarantee that food products do not contain nuts and other food substances. Allergen information is available on our allergens page.
We reserve the right to change or cancel any advertised menu, entertainment, package or party at any time. We shall endeavour to provide alternative items or services in such circumstances. In the event of cancellation on our part we will offer an alternative date or refund payments in full.
All guests must be 18 years or over. Dress code is smart/casual. Trainers and sports shirts are not permitted.
We reserve the right to refuse service and/or entry to persons deemed unfit for service in accordance with Licensing legislation.
The University cannot be held responsible for lost or stolen articles, damage to vehicles or other personal belongings.
The organiser is responsible for ensuring all guests are aware of these terms and conditions as well as arrival, departure and advertised seating times. Please note that food serving times are approximate and may vary from those advertised.

Payment of a deposit will acknowledge your acceptance of these terms and conditions.
The offers and terms and conditions apply only to public party nights. Private party nights bookings will be subject to our University of Hull venue hire terms and conditions.
