University wins Yorkshire in Bloom award

The University has once again proudly been awarded a Yorkshire in Bloom Gold award in the ‘Universities, Colleges and Further Education Establishment’ category.

The judges said: “Over the years the grounds team at the University of Hull have extended and enhanced the plantings around the campus to achieve what is now a pleasant and ‘green’ environment for both students and staff alike. The team should be very proud of the manner in which they have developed, enhanced and maintained the grounds. While perhaps difficult to prove, one could imagine that some students’ choice of university might be influenced by this lovely campus.”

The Grounds and Gardens team work incredibly hard to make the University campus look so fantastic and winning this award is testament to this. Our attractive grounds help to support both the colleague and student experience and provide an enjoyable learning and working environment, with many visitors, particularly prospective students, commenting on how beautiful the campus looks.

A big congratulations to the team on this fantastic achievement.
